Shunting safely, and making up and splitting trains.
Who it’s for
For trainee shunters employed by a railway undertaking.
After this course
Your shunter can carry out shunting movements safely, accompany rail vehicles, and make up and split trains.
Structure and content
- Theory at OBV Training Centre in blocks of three to four days, alternating with practical days at the railway undertaking
- Progress in class and in practice is reviewed with the undertaking, and adjusted where that is needed
- Can be combined with the wagon inspector and train driver courses
Practical
- Location: ’s-Hertogenbosch or your own site
- Examination is the responsibility of the railway undertaking, and is run by OBV where you want that
