Who it’s for
For staff of railway undertakings who are taking on the safety-critical role of wagon inspector.
After this course
Your wagon inspector can carry out technical inspections on national and international freight trains independently, and release wagons for departure.
Structure and content
- Theory at OBV Training Centre, practice at your own undertaking
- The build and construction of freight rolling stock, recognisable defects and wear-sensitive components
- Dimensions and marking models in line with Appendix 9 to the GCU and the AVV
- Loading, brake technology and brake tests
- Optionally extended with the dangerous goods module
- Can be combined with the shunter and train driver courses
Practical
- Examination is the responsibility of the railway undertaking, and is run by OBV where you want that
